Wines from Greece is a fully inclusive body, representing all Greek producers of wine who export their products. Wines from Greece - is the branding for a wide range of promotional activities designed to inform consumers abroad about quality Greek wines. This website has been set up for the same purpose.
WFG's mandate is to promote the export of all Greek wines in key international markets. For professionals in the wine world (importers, distributors, journalists) it offers news, statistics and a range of up-to-date information. Designed as a practical working tool for everyday use, it includes profiles of new wines, production and export figures, and contact information.
At the same time it offers consumers a chance to broaden their knowledge by browsing through a wide range of information on background history, on vineyards and winemaking, on the characteristics differentiating the distinct winemaking areas, and on the varieties that give our wines personality.
WFG exhibits regularly at major wine shows and works closely with the tourism authorities to advance Greek tourism programs. In addition, WFG holds regular marketing seminars, bringing international wine buyers and marketers to the country and is also responsible for several education seminars for wine dealer and consumer. The partner within this program is the Wineacademy International, with which WFG is able to provide courses and tastings in many different countries.
